Storm Repairs

Storm Repairs

Windblown debris. Falling trees and branches. Hail. Ice and freezing rain. Torrential downpours. All can test the strength and integrity of your roof. Any weakness or existing damage can quickly expand to create an entry point for damaging water.

If your roof experiences damage during a storm, DO NOT attempt to repair the damage yourself. Even during the latter stages a storm presents extreme danger to anyone who ventures onto an exposed roof.

Instead, call the trained professionals of Bennett Roofing and Restoration to identify, assess and repair storm damage. We’ll make temporary repairs to restore the integrity of your roof, including emergency tarps and sealants. Our goal is to minimize the damage done by storms and water entry. Once the storm subsides we’ll get a crew out to offer you options for more permanent repairs.

In many cases roof repairs are covered by your homeowner’s insurance policy. If you call us to make emergency repairs we are also happy to work with your insurance company adjuster to speed the insurance claims process by providing the necessary paperwork and documentation.

Hail Damage

Hail Damage

One of the most obvious signs of hail damage to your roof is dents in the flashing that goes around the border of your roof. Also, if you use asphalt shingles, you'll see signs of mineral granules in your downspouts or gutters. This material flakes off the shingles when hail hits the surface.

Some other signs to look out for include:

  • Pitted spots in your roof's asphalt material. These spots can also look tear-shaped based on the size of the pellets.
  • Damage or bruising in your shingles. Sometimes you'll notice this from a distance, though you may need an inspection for subtle damage.
  • Cracks in your asphalt shingles. These aren't always evident without a professional inspection from an experienced roofing contractor.

Keep in mind, these are just general signs with common asphalt shingles. You'll find more distinct signs of damage in other roofing material used.

Wind Damage

If you have missing shingles due to wind damage give us a call, we can work with your insurance company to install a emergency tarp and after it is tarped off work on getting the roof repaired or replaced. We have lots of experience working with insurance companies and can almost always get you the proper coverage.

Leaky Roofs

Leaky Roofs

Identifying the source of a leak can be a difficult task. Water seeping under your roof can "travel" from its original point of entry and show up in an entirely different part of your home or commercial building. As a result, stopping the leak can take longer, allowing even more water to enter and cause damage.
Because Bennett Roofing and Restoration has such deep experience in all types of roofing systems, our emergency response teams are experts at pinpointing the source of leaks, both big and small. That means we can get to the entry point faster and reduce, then stop, the flow of water sooner. Our first responders will make emergency repairs on the spot, then make arrangements for a full team to return and make long-term repairs to restore your roof to its original condition.

Flat Roof Leaks

Flat Roof Leaks

Flat roofs present their own types of problems, from leaky seals to clogged drains that allow water to back up and pool. In addition, torn or worn membranes can allow water "under the roof" and into a structure. Bennett Roofing and Restoration has extensive experience in flat roof technology in both residential and commercial applications. Our flat roof experts can quickly identify the source of a leak and work to minimize damage and correct the problem using specialized flat roof sealants. Then we'll make more permanent repairs to keep your roof intact and extend its service life.
